Chapter 51 : Aparantly i am the meal

Aparantly i am the meal

Bella and I spent about another hour just talking about normal things after she showed me her PEG. I had had no words to give her and I hated the new uncomfortable sensation that fluttered inside my tummy. For a few moments I had been terrified but that had soon died away when Sophie so rightly told me that NG’s and PEG’s were only given to anorexics.

It was nice talking to Bella. We talked about anything other than the hardd stuff which when Bella was involved I learnt mostly meant twilight. I had read the books a while back and thought they were good but Bella was devoted to it even more so than the amount of calories that she put into her mouth. I could never muster any real love for anything. I was waiting to die. Bella had a real chance though. Deep inside she had courage, she wanted to live. A few more months here and she could fly and maybe somewhere deep inside of her she knew it too. She apologized because she had been rude to me and said she wanted to be my fried. I told her she hadn’t been but she wouldn’t listen, as for being friends I accepted because it was what you did but I had never had a friend before and I was not a good person so I could not see who it could end well. Bella grimaced every time the checks nurse opened the door and rolled her eyes over the both of us. I tried to make her feel better by saying they had to check on me any way but she maintained it made her skin crawl.

A short shattering clap drew my eyes away from Bella and drew our conversation to a close. From in the hall way the sarcastic tone of crystal’s voice sounded around the corridor. The words I hated hearing, the words that made me cold. I still felt exhausted from the fight with breakfast.

“Lunch time you Turnips!” Crystal yelled, Her booming voice echoing around the corridor. There was a low rumble from the various rooms around Bella’s along with the opening of doors that were in serious need of some WD40. It seemed that meal times where the only thing that broke up the monotony of day to day life in Apple gate. To me it was living hell. What happened next though was enough to send me into a bind panic.

“And has anyone seen Mia Dorado, she is my lunch time partner.”

“Dear god Bella please hide me.” I stuttered as my body went ridged with fear, my heart was pumping so forcefully in my chest I thought it was going to burst through the surface. My body shock with vicious convulsion. I hurt to have Emmet back at work, or even horse face. Anyone but her, anyone but Crystal.

“Mi…Mia listen to me.” Bella said once again cupping my face in her hands. “Mi, it’s going to be Ok. Try your best and she can’t do anything to you. Try and eat Mi, You must eat!” She patted her stomach gently as her door began to open. “You don’t want a PEG of your own." She hissed

“Ahhh, there you are!” Crystal said licking her lips slightly as her stare focused on me. Suddenly I felt like I was the actual lunch.
