Chapter 31 : What goes down must come up

I was acutely aware that all the eyes in the room but one were now staring in my direction. I put my face in my hands and pulled at my stomach retching again. I felt my face going red but I still couldn’t control it. Through my fingers I could see Bella was the only one not looking at me, she like I had been before was concentrating completely on her food, like there was nothing else in the room; the building falling down around her could not distract her from the task, or someone puking into their dinner.

The voice in my head tried to sooth me but I hated it. I looked like an idiot. Why couldn’t I just be aloud to eat like the rest of them?

“Well done Mia, good girl. You know this is the best way. You’re already such a fat cow, well done Mia. Keep going you’ll be sick soon and then it will be better, empty is perfection, thin is divine.

I pulled at my stomach involuntary again and the bile rose up further in my throat. I chanted the words don’t be sick over and over inside my head but it wasn’t working. My pure insides were fighting back. They did not want any food shadowing their perfection and they planed to get rid of the mess as quickly as they could.

“Come on Mi, lets get you out of here.” Emmet said softly, his voice deflating. “Come on honey. Up you get, it’s OK.”
